¶ WILSON Park Primary School has welcomed two new faces this term.
Chris Cook has stepped into the role of acting principal and Anita Hoddell has been appointed the school’s chaplain.
Ms Cook previously served as the school’s principal, taking on the role four years ago in a relief capacity.
She said she is impressed with the advances made at the school since her last stint in the role.
The recent NAPLAN results showed the year three students had made “outstanding progress”, she said.
“It shows what a difference early intervention can make,” Ms Cook said.
“Those programs have been in place across the school, but the biggest difference has been made with those younger years.”
Mrs Hoddell said she knows Wilson Park well, having previously worked as a child health nurse in the area and at the Child and Parent Centre.
“I’m quite attached to this area of town,” she said.
“I thought I’d like to give a bit back to the community here.”
