¶ COLLIE Shire’s annual electors’ meeting will be held on July 8 after council locked in the date earlier this month.
The electors’ meeting will be held at the council chambers in 87 Throssell Street, getting underway at 6pm.
Council also received and adopted the shire’s 2023/24 annual report, including its annual audit report.
The meeting provides an opportunity to learn about shire operations over the previous financial year.
It also provides an opportunity for residents and ratepayers to ask questions.
Last year’s meeting, attended by almost 50 people, was held at Roche Park Recreation Centre.
Topics covered last year included the shire’s draft infill laneway housing policy, Minningup Pool maintenance, and vandalism at the Roberts Rocks and Venn Street river stops.
The 2023/24 annual report will be discussed at the meeting, and can be found online at: https://www.collie.wa.gov.au/council/budgets/.
Members of the public are encouraged to submit their questions in advance via colshire@collie.wa.gov.au or by calling 9 734 9000 by 4pm, Monday July 7.
