Wellington water levels slightly up

¶ WELLINGTON Dam water levels are slightly up on last year however there has been little change since April.
The dam is currently holding 69.01 gigalitres, up from 63.43 gigalitres in July last year, and is at 37.3 percent of capacity.
In April, it was holding 66.90 gigalitres, meaning only a little over 2 gigalitres has been added during the winter months.
Last year, there was a boost in levels between July and August, with the dam holding 81.41 gigalitres in August.
In July 2023, Wellington was holding 104.37 gigalitres and in 2022 it was holding 122.87 gigalitres.
Harris Dam levels are slightly down year on year.
Harris is holding 14.27 gigalitres, and is at 19.8 percent of capacity, down from 15.43 gigalitres last year.
Glen Mervyn Dam is at 24.6 percent of capacity, holding 0.5 gigalitres, up from 0.16 gigalitres this time last year.
Mungalup Dam is also up on last year at 61.6 percent of capacity, holding 0.42 gigalitres, up from 0.39 gigalitres in 2024.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts a 50 to 55 percent chance of exceeding the median rainfall in Collie from August through to October.
