¶ COLLIE continued to prove a popular destination during the early winter months, attracting a steady stream of visitors.
The Collie Visitor Centre recorded a 10.3 percent increase in year-on-year visitation during the June quarter.
Centre manager Kerrin Michalak said these figures align with Tourism Council growth trends reported for the quarter.
“July visitation figures closely mirrored those recorded in the same month last year, indicating stable demand during the winter period,” Ms Michalak said.
“As is typical, August saw a slowdown in visitation due to reduced regional movement and the seasonal impact of much-needed rain and colder weather - a trend that has continued in 2025.”
Looking ahead, Ms Michalak said she expects numbers to begin picking up again next month.
“We remain confident that September will see a strong return of visitors, with warmer weather and the spectacular bloom of spring wildflowers expected to draw tourists back to the region,” she said.
