¶ COASTAL Freightlines will add a 12-tonne capacity truck to its fleet after receiving $50,000 in State Government funding.
Owner Jocelyn Rowe said the truck will cater for growing demand for the company’s services, including an anticipated ramp-up in demand from fellow Collie Light Industrial Area tenant Quantum Filtration.
“That’s what the new vehicle is for,” Mrs Rowe said.
“The forecast for what they’re going to do was the instigator in applying for the funding.”
The new truck will enable Coastal to take on larger jobs, and Mrs Rowe expects the company to continue growing in the coming years.
Mrs Rowe said its growth to date is due to its hands-on approach.
“Our freight is not onforwarded,” she said.
“We pick it and deliver it.
“Everybody is treated the same. It’s a personalised service, which we have slowly built up based on being old fashioned.”
