1 min read

A FANTASTIC field of 30 pairs competed in the Collie Golf Club’s two-person ambrose Physio Group South West trophy last Saturday.
The competition was tight at the top of the leaderboard, with less than a shot between the top three pairs.
Tom Chappell and Terry Reeves put in a brilliant performance to return 64, just pipping Jaydon Ellery and Phil Rabjones on 64.25.
David Broadbent and Brad Swan were unlucky to be just outside the trophies with 64.75.
Graeme Jackson and Ross Davidson were next best with 66, followed by Jamie Pitchers and Jason Cable, Darren O’Brien and Ken Tate, and Michelle Tate and Jodie Allison, all on 66.25.
Colin Giblett and Logan Giblett finished with 66.5, while Connor Mumme and Ian Annandale, Wayne Waywood and James Lovett, and John Brown and Max Thomas all had 66.75.
Kalev Kutt and Danny Clayton finished with 67.75, and Paul Moyses and Clayton Flynn rounded out the vouchers with 68.
Physio Group South West sponsored all 18 novelties, with the winners list on the clubhouse board.
A FIELD of 25 turned out for the Matt Blackford/Elders leisure day trophy last week, with Brett Smith winning the carton on 40.
Colin Giblett was once again second on 38, with Gary Old and Terry Reeves both finishing on 37.
David Carter posted 36, followed by Trevor Graham on 35, Jay Robinson and James Lovett on 33, and Graham Williams on 32.
BRUCE Miller won last week’s Thursday scroungers with 19 points.
Shanks Shannon played well to finish in second with 18, followed by Greg Bell and John Wray on 17. Tom Waddell, Phil Warburton and Tony Barker-May finished on 16.
LAST week’s Wednesday ladies’ nine-hole event attracted a field of 11.
Nancy Lynn was the clear winner with 18 points, with Heather Dabrowski, Patti Law and Annette Atherton all finishing on 15 to snare the remaining vouchers.
TODAY the club will be hosting an Australia Day four-ball, best-ball event, sponsored by the Motion family. Saturday is the Mafia-sponsored individual stableford, and Tuesday the Matt Blackford/Elders-sponsored leisure day, followed by Thursday scroungers.
