Riverview planning progressing

PROSPECTIVE residents had an opportunity to view the Riverview Residence redevelopment at an open day on Tuesday.
Riverview has hit the ground running following last month’s launch of stage one, spanning 12 units, and is eyeing stage two of the redevelopment throughout 2027.
The second stage will involve demolition of 10 older units on Burt Street, and development of a further seven two-bedroom, one-bathroom rental units and seven three-bedroom, one bathroom lease-for-life units.
It will also include development of a clubhouse with a fully fitted-out kitchen and communal area.
Riverview chief executive officer Mark Sheldon-Stemm said there has already been strong interest in the next stage of the redevelopment.
“We’ve got a bit of momentum,” Mr Sheldon-Stemm said.
“People can also now see the Modular WA homes here, see what the interior looks like and so on.”
Stage two earthworks are set to get underway early next year, and units will start arriving towards the end of the year.
As reported by the Bulletin last week, a funding application has been submitted to the State Government.
The redevelopment is planned to be progressively carried out over four stages across the site.
Stage three will be undertaken in conjunction with stage four, working towards a 38-unit complex.
