Haven for Collie gamers coming soon

¶ COLLIE Gamer's Lounge owner Caleb Tancred is aiming to have the Forrest Street business up and running in time for the term three school holidays.
Mr Tancred said the venue will be a hub for gamers and provide local children another entertainment option.
The concept is in part inspired by an internet cafe he used to frequent as a kid, which he observed kept him “out of a lot of trouble”.
A portion of the lounge will be dedicated to high-end computers, which Mr Tancred said will line one of its walls.
Gamers will also be able to buy, trade and play Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards.
“There will be a table set up for card games and we will have an Xbox set up too,” Mr Tancred said.
The lounge will also play host to tournaments, events and games nights for gamers of all ages.
All staff will have working with children checks.
Mr Tancred said since announcing opening of the lounge via social media he has been inundated with queries and interest.
He said he had long wanted to open the business, however it was a “matter of finding the right place”.
While he will have his work cut out for him in the next few months, Mr Tancred said he is looking forward to the challenge and opening doors.
