¶ COALFIELDS Museum and Historical Research Centre volunteers and committee members gathered recently to farewell day manager Yvonne Hammond at an afternoon tea function.
Mrs Hammond was an inaugural member of the committee when it took over responsibility for operating the museum, and did a lot of early work collating information and cataloguing.
As a day manager, her warm and friendly smile greeted many visitors to the museum.
Presenting her with a bouquet, committee vice chairman Joe Italiano thanked her for her contribution.
